The organisation was formed in 1946 and is a trade association of
employers whose companies are engaged in the working at height
industry. The work of the members includes the installation and
maintenance of lightning protection systems, earthing design and the
preservation of high rise buildings, industrial chimneys and churches. |

Safe Contractor is an accreditation
scheme that assesses the health and safety competency of
contractors and service providers. Clients have a legal obligation to
ensure that external contractors and service providers working on their
premises operate in a safe way.

Steeplejack and Lightning Protection Training Group
Nimbus Lightning Protection are fully committed to training and are
active members of the industry Training Group. Our Managing Director
has been a Council Member for a number of years. |

Contractors Health and Safety Assesment Scheme
CHAS are dedicated to completing health and safety pre-qualification
assessments to a nationally recognised and accepted threshold standard.
CHAS is a founder member and current Chair of Safety Schemes in
Procurement – Competence Forum or SSIP. |
